Dr Katherine Wilson

Paediatric Emergency Physician MBBS (Hons), FRACP (PEM)

About Katherine

Katherine is a paediatric emergency physician, seeing children with concussion or mild traumatic brain injury for assessment and supportive care during their recovery.

She graduated from the University of WA in 2002 with honours and completed paediatric training, specialising in paediatric emergency medicine in 2012. Katherine has extensive experience caring for infants, children and adolescents with acute medical issues, and has had over 20 years of experience in paediatric medicine. Katherine has been working as a consultant in the emergency department at Princess Margaret Hospital / Perth Children’s Hospital for over 10 years.

Working collaboratively with paediatric neuropsychologist, Dr Jonson Moyle at Cogito Psychology, and paediatric physiotherapists at Western Kids Health, our team will provide an expert standard of care for children with concussion, and an holistic approach to children and their families during their recovery.

We will see children aged under 16 years who have sustained a head injury (from falls, sports, recreational accidents) for assessment; and provide education, support and ongoing rehabilitation to help manage symptoms of acute concussion and post-concussive syndrome.

Katherine is a mother to two young children, and a miniature pinscher. In her spare time she is passionate about reading all kinds of books and baking treats for family and friends.
